Group Fitness Classes
Group fitness classes are included in your annual or monthly membership or can be purchased on a single entry basis. Evanston Parks and Recreation has fitness classes to meet everyone’s interests. Whether you’re looking for a light relaxing workout or training for a marathon we’ve got the class for you.
Childcare
Childcare is available year round from 9am to 12pm. Parent’s must stay on-site at the facility during care.

Current Classes
HIIT Barbell
A light weight/high reps, strength training class using barbells and weights.

All Levels Cycling
An intense low impact workout. Pedal through climbs, sprints, drills, and other exercises. All levels welcome!

Rowing
A high-intensity full-body interval training class.

Water Aerobics
A low impact workout combining muscular strength and endurance with cardiovascular training.

Body Burnout
Strength training class that utilizes functional movement to help protect against injury in sports and daily activity. We use a combination of weights and resistance bands to target specific muscle groups. Class includes short cardio segments to challenge and train cardiorespiratory fitness.

Dance Fitness
Join us for a cardio dance fitness class set to today’s hit music. No dance experience required. Just follow along with the instructor and expect to sweat! We vary the complexity and intensity of the routines to ensure everyone is challenged but also has fun!

Rise & Spin
Start your day off right with a high energy cycling class. This class is designed for all levels, come as you are. It is a great workout to burn calories and increase endurance. Come on in for a ride!

Yoga
A mixed level class designed to help increase your strength, flexibility, and balance.

Yoga
A great form of yoga for beginners, or anyone who wants to focus on a gentle practice. Perform postures while seated. Will assist with balance issues or anyone who has trouble getting down and up from the floor.


Fit Flow Yoga
Focusing on strength, balance, and flexibility, increase your HEART RATE and leave feeling refreshed and energized. The class will start with vinyasa flow and standing postures, progressing into options for a peak pose. It will always be fun and high energy throughout with relaxation at the end.

NIA
A movement form that incorporates principles from dance, the healing arts and the martial arts. Targeted for seniors who want a fun and health promoting experience. Focuses on the mind, body and soul.

High/Low Fit
Takes old school aerobics to the next level with HIIT training, intervals, and cardio with music you love.

Kickboxing
A non-contact martial art and boxing type based on punching and kicking. This workout helps deliver superior fitness, strength and coordination results. Punch and kick your way to fitness with moves from Karate and Boxing. Release stress, have a blast and leave feeling like a champ.

Pilates
Strengthen your core, improve flexibility, and enhance posture with this full-body workout. Pilates uses controlled, low-impact movements to target deep muscles, improve alignment, and build long, lean strength. Suitable for all fitness levels, this class will leave you feeling balanced, energized, and more connected to your body.
