Bear Ice Ponds

The Ice Ponds will be lighted for ice skating each night from dusk until 10:00 pm. 

Location: Bear River Greenway off Bear River Drive adjacent to the BEAR Community Center building.
Natural ice skating conditions: 10 inches fair to good ice skating conditions, the ice is rough in spots. 

Rent Ice Skates at the Rec Center during business hours:
Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 10 pm ; 
Saturdays 10 am - 5:00 pm; Sunday Noon - 5:00 pm
Prices: $3 per pair, per day - return the next day by 4:00 pm
$20 maximum per immediate family, per day

Skate on Natural Ice, Weather Permitting 
Minimum 6 inches of ice is required for skating
The ice thickness is checked and maintained daily by the Evanston Parks Department.
